Nicole Capaldo
Advocacy Ambassador
"Through my involvement with Legacies of War, I have seen how advocacy, education, and survivor-centered action can drive meaningful policy change and bring global attention to an often-overlooked humanitarian crisis. Being part of this organization has strengthened my commitment to humanitarian demining and shown me the real power of collective action in creating a safer and more secure world.
This work is very meaningful to me, as I have met individuals whose lives have been forever altered by landmines. Legacies of War’s mission is critical, as landmines continue to threaten civilians long after conflicts end, limiting access to education, livelihoods, and basic safety. "
