Madeline Pohmer
Advocacy Ambassador
“Serving as an Advocacy Ambassador for Legacies of War has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. Through this role, I have gained a deeper understanding of the long-term consequences of conflict and the importance of educating others about issues that often go overlooked. It has given me the opportunity to contribute to meaningful conversations, raise awareness, and support efforts that promote lasting change. I am thankful to be part of an organization that inspires individuals to take action and work toward a safer and more compassionate world.”
My Story
I am a student-athlete at Cornell University, where I study Applied Economics and Management in the Dyson School while competing as a Division I lacrosse player. Through my academic, athletic, and leadership experiences, I have developed a strong interest in global issues, public service, and creating positive change within communities. As an Advocacy Ambassador for Legacies of War, I am committed to increasing awareness of the long-lasting humanitarian consequences of conflict and the importance of education and advocacy. Through this role, I hope to help share overlooked stories, foster meaningful dialogue, and encourage others to become engaged in efforts that promote peace, understanding, and humanitarian action.
