Advocacy Ambassador
"In Laos, standing in solidarity means listening to the people of Laos, understanding their calls for healing, and supporting the organizations that advocate for the funding and tools they need. That includes extensive demining programs, education initiatives related to cluster munitions, and access to healthcare and victim support. It means making sure this forgotten war is never forgotten again.
To stop the harm and to support the healing–the world needs both, happening at the same time, made possible by our collective action. Palestine and Laos serve as painful illustrations of where that work needs to go. Let’s do it the only way possible: together."
My Story
Justina is an independent political commentator and nonprofit professional, with a
focus on anticolonial, feminist, antiwar, and climate-justice movements. Her work is
informed by a combination of her academic background in political science and her
lived experience in the Global South, including her trip to Laos in her early twenties. It
was one of the first times she saw the legacy of imperialism from up close, which
inevitably pushed her to further explore and apply an anti-imperialist lens in her
future roles and political analyses.
