Elaigha Vilaysane

Advocacy Ambassador

    My Story

Elaigha Vilaysane is a first generation student holding a BA in Chinese Language and Literature and Art History from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London. Her grandparents and father immigrated to the United States from Laos in the late 70s. Working as an Advocacy Ambassador for Legacies of War has brought Elaigha closer to her family's culture and history.

Currently, Elaigha is a Program Assistant at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on the International Educational Outreach Team. She is passionate about preserving and educating about difficult histories.
