Tour de Thailand

We are pleased to announce an upcoming journey to Southeast Asia that includes a great fundraising opportunity for Legacies of War. While this is not a Legacies of War event, we have been chosen as one of three organizations to donate to in order to participate! Join Adventure Cycling Thailand in late November 2022 for fun in the sun in tropical Thailand (see the flyer below). Riders will be spending 10 days riding their bicycles and enjoying each other’s company on the Thai Riviera starting in Hua Hin and finishing in Krabi. You’ll get to see life and the spectacular beauty of this part of the world with new friends at a slow pace while getting exercise. Each day will present options for you depending upon your mood and self-motivation. You can spend most of the day riding to the next hotel, with periodic replenishment breaks including lunch, or maybe sleep in and join the ride in progress later in the day. Another option might be to start the day with the riders, call it a day at lunch time and be shuttled to the next hotel for some poolside relaxation, a beach walk or you can wander around town. The choices are yours each day.

Non-riding family members can also join this amazing journey by seeing the riders off each morning, enjoying a few extra hours at the resort, taking one of our support vehicles (with driver) to meet the riders for lunch, then continuing in the van to check in at the next resort and welcome the riders as they arrive later in the day. The driver will follow the bicycle tour route so the non-riders can experience the incredible scenery that the riders will see as they travel to the hotel.

Legacies of War Board Member, Dave, has ridden this route at least 10 times and can attest to its beauty and the expertise of Adventure Cycling Thailand (formerly Tour De Asia Bicycle Touring Company). They have been in business for nearly 20 years and have created wonderful memories for its many customers. It has managed group rides ranging in size from 2 to 100 people and has raised more than $1.0 Million US in charitable donations over the years.
