Ricky Valente

Ricky Valente is a senior at New York University studying Film and Television, with minors in Business of Entertainment and Philosophy. Born to an immigrant mother from Laos, and having lived around the world, he has a lifelong commitment to telling stories that preserve and elevate his heritage. His relationship with Legacies of War is grounded in family history and cultural responsibility. As an Advocacy Ambassador, he works to amplify Lao and Hmong voices, build awareness, and support ongoing efforts for justice and healing. Long-term, Ricky aims to direct feature films in Laos and collaborate with Legacies to bring their stories to a global audience.
