Lynn Mymala

Advocacy Ambassador

"As a long-time supporter and now Advocacy Ambassador, I am grateful for organizations like Legacies of War for advocating for the removal of UXO bombs in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam to help people in those areas. The legacy of war still endangers lives in these regions, especially children, and threatens the safety and development of entire communities. So many people still do not know about the Secret War, I sure didn't until I was in college! I believe knowing where you came from is essential to understanding yourself, your place in the community, and your responsibilities to future generations."

    My Story

Lynn is a Bay Area native, born in Oakland and raised in San Leandro. She is the first-born, eldest daughter of Lao American immigrants and the first generation to attend college. Lynn attended University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology in 2015. Lynn has made many career pivots and currently works in customer success. Outside of work, Lynn likes to find ways to connect/reconnect with Lao culture, such as learning Lao language, history, and cooking Lao food.
