Hannah Hayes
Advocacy Ambassador
My Story
Hannah is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied Political Science and Finance. She has a deep connection to Vietnam through her mother and grandmother, having spent part of her childhood there and returning every summer. During these visits, she organized volunteer efforts for victims of Agent Orange, raising funds and directing medical supplies to affected communities. In college, she focused on international affairs and post-conflict justice. Through a program in Humanitarian Law and Armed Conflict, she spent time in Sarajevo and Mostar meeting families still navigating the aftermath of the Yugoslav wars and the long process of reconciliation. Across both Southeast Asia and the Balkans, she has seen how the consequences of war remain present in people’s daily lives. She’s committed to challenging the idea that these issues are behind us and believes continued advocacy is essential to meaningful healing.
