"With the Legacies of War Benefit show, the most wonderful aspect is that we have been deeply involved with the Laotian-American community to build an exhibit that reflects their values and input in hope of transforming & transcending a difficult part of Laotian history into hope and healing for the community. The road is not particularly easy at times but everyone has persevered to build and support Legacies so that it can create & provide a space for the Laotian Diaspora at large to come together to discuss and learn about the past and educate future generations about their history and legacies as well. In a wider, more contemporary context, ArtXchange and Legacies are committed to spreading the word about the devastation and futility of war."
